As the name suggests, medium roast coffee is a medium brown in colour. Medium roast coffee has more body than light roasts, but like light roast they should have no oil appear on the surface of the bean. Medium roast exhibits more balanced flavour, aroma and acidity, and has none of the grainy taste you will find in a light roast.
