Medium body contributes to the mouth-feel or sensation of richness that any given coffee extraction has. A medium body means it isn’t overwhelmingly heavy and isn’t light on. Often people get confused with the medium or light body terminology and will complain that the coffee isn’t “strong”. When talking coffee the word strong relates to the ratio between coffee and milk/water so if you want a stronger coffee… just add (yep, you guessed it!) more coffee! But what most people are actually trying to say when they say the coffee wasn’t strong is that it it doesn’t taste strong which refers to a light or medium body.
