A bold and intense acidity is often found in coffees that are grown at high altitudes with mineral rich, volcanic soils. Coffees with bold and intense acidity have a strong upfront of tanginess and fruitiness that tingles in the mouth. This sensation hits your tongue first, and is usually the most noticeable of the tasting notes for these coffees.
